Imperfect (Movie) | Plot Summary

Rara (Jessica Milla) is a 26 years old who works in a private company. She is a fat person and has a younger sister with a nice body. Her mother cares about her daughter’s body. And everyone also always compares Rara with her sister. She heard so many annoying words from her mother, her mother’s friends, and her colleagues in her company. Rara works for a body care company, so Rara feels insecure about her body. By the way, she has a handsome boyfriend named Dika (Reza R.), who loves her naturally and never complains about his body. They are a happy couple.

The conflict started when Rara’s manager decided to resign from her job. And if Rara wants to become a manager, she has to change her appearance. Rara wanted to become a manager, so she started dieting, then took care of her entire body and clothes. Her diet worked out in a month, and she achieved her goal and then became a manager. After becoming a manager, she got busier, and on several occasions, she came late when there was an appointment with Dika. She has changed and doesn’t want to go on a motorbike with Dika, and prefers to take a taxi. Then Rara was more acceptable to her peers. And she started commenting on her friend who was not fashionable.

Then her life fell apart. She has conflicts with her boyfriend, sister, and mother. And she was in uncertain company condition, and she also had problems with her health because of the unnatural diet in the last month.

After that, she realized that being beautiful doesn’t mean being happy. So, she changed her mindset and went back to not caring too much about her appearance, and just being herself. And then she becomes more cheerful and less insecure about herself.
